Know what your car is telling you.
GloveBox reads your car's warning codes through a small adapter that plugs in under the dashboard, then explains them in plain English: what's wrong, how serious it is, and what to do next.
Your catalytic converter isn't cleaning exhaust as well as it should.
Safe to drive for now. Have it checked within the next few weeks, since it can cause you to fail an emissions inspection.
- Fine to drive
- Service soon
- Stop driving
Examples of common codes. Advice in the app depends on your vehicle.
From warning light to answer in a minute
Every gas car and light truck sold in the U.S. since 1996 has a diagnostic port. GloveBox talks to it through an inexpensive Bluetooth adapter you keep in the car.
-
Plug in the adapter
Find the port under the dashboard, usually near the steering column, and plug in a supported Bluetooth adapter. It stays there.
-
Open GloveBox
Turn the key to on, open the app and connect. GloveBox reads your VIN and recognizes which car you're in.

Get a plain answer
See what each code means, how urgent it is and what to do about it, without a trip to the parts store.
Made for the cars in your driveway
No jargon and no setup screens full of protocols. GloveBox figures out the technical parts so you don't have to.
Every car in the household
Keep all your vehicles in one garage. Move the adapter between cars and GloveBox picks the right one automatically.
How serious is it?
Each code comes with a clear call: fine to drive, get it serviced soon, or stop driving.
A history for each car
Every scan is saved to that vehicle, so you can show a mechanic what happened and when.
No typing required
Your car reports its own VIN. For older cars that don't, scan the VIN barcode with your camera or pick your car from a list.
